Radiofrequency facial treatment in Marbella
The skin is one of the organs, but the largest, largest in the body, and has the sole function of keeping us protected and isolated from the environment around us. This is composed of three layers:
Epidermis: it is the visible part and the first protective layer that we have, and its purpose is to defend ourselves against external aggressions.
Dermis: it is the intermediate layer, and it is formed of elastic fibers such as collagen, which has as its first function to keep the skin smooth, elastic and young.
Hypodermis this is the deepest layer of subcutaneous tissue and where all the fat accumulates. Its main function is to provide consistency to the skin in order to keep it in place.
As time goes by, our skin experiences various physical-chemical reactions that ultimately make it age, which results in wrinkle formation and a prominent loss of elasticity. All this is due, in part, to three fundamental components.
Collagen: it is the protein element that provides firmness to the layers of the skin, while its loss makes it thinner and weaker.
Elastin: protein present in cartilaginous, connective and bone tissue that helps the body tissues recover their initial size.
Glycosaminoglycans: set of unbranched long chains among which are hyaluronic acid, keratin sulfate or chondroitin sulfate.
Today there are an infinite number of dermo-aesthetic treatments that are performed with surgery and that are merely focused on rejuvenating the natural appearance of the skin. An example of this is dermabrasion, the ablative laser or the incipient chemical peel, which is already causing a furor in some areas of Latin America.
However, the vast majority of this type of rejuvenating treatments cause damage to the tissue of the different layers of the skin, which results in a long and risky rehabilitation process in terms of possible complications.
On the other hand, facial radiofrequency is one of the innovative and non-invasive techniques that best adapts to the demand for facial rejuvenation treatments, being currently one of the most requested to recover sagging skin.
Its operation is based on the use of radiofrequency waves, which, in the form of heat, produce energy on the hypodermis – subcutaneous tissue -, thus stimulating the transport of fibroplasts and the retraction of collagen fibers. The latter are responsible for tightening the lower layers of the skin and promoting its manufacture.
